Today I felt like my energy of explorer came back and I took the car to go in direction of Cala Comta.
I love to take a walk, starting from Sunset Ashram and going north to the old guard tower, of which I will definitely tell you more soon, with quite pretty pictures , but today it was too windy and at the last moment I decided to go for an other option.
My friends told me about a cave right near Cala Comta so I started searching, which – thanks to my good sense of orientation – has given excellent results.
The site in question is located in the south of the famous beach and you have to take a dirt road on the left before you get to the large parking lot and follow it until you see the sea in front of you .
When you arrive you will be amazed by the beauty of the coast and the view.
It’s a large, flat area on the edges of the cliff which gives a great sense of freedom and reminded me very much Cap Barbary on Formentera .
In the background , looking south, stands our cathedral rock , Es Vedra .
I parked my car, took my backpack with my fresh juice , and went for exploration .
I followed the coast towards the south, and at one point I found the narrow stairs leading down the cliff, fortunately safe, well made and with protection . The landscape was already great, but the surprise was yet to come . At the end of the stairs I was breathless : a huge cave that connects the two bays and thru which you can see the ‘ island of S ‘ Espartar .
It is not entirely natural because precisely at its base were built fishermen’s cabins, not in very ecological way I have to admit, and in spite of few damages this place still has its charm .
It was really a big surprise for me and I took some time to savor my discovery . I was lucky being protected from the wind and even if we have december – I could take a sunbath in bikini . These are the true luxuries of living in Ibiza for me, the true quality of life !!!
Oggi sono tornata alla carica con la mia eneria da esploratrice e ho preso la macchina in direzione di Cala Comta.
Adoro la passeggiata che partendo dal Sunset Ashram va in direzione nord arrivando fino all’ antica torre di guardia e della quale sicuramente vi parlerò presto con anche belle immagini, ma oggi c’era troppo vento e all’ ultimo ho deciso di optare per un’ altra meta.
Degli amici mi avevano parlato della grotta di Sa Figuera Borda proprio nei pressi di Cala Comta e quindi ho iniziato la ricerca che grazie al mio buon senso dell’ orientamento ha dato ottimi risultati.
Il luogo in questione si trova a sud rispetto alla famosa spiaggia e bisogna prendere una stradina sterrata a sinistra, prima di arrivare al grande parcheggio e seguirla fino a che si vede il mare davanti a voi.
Quando arriverete vi stupirete per la bellezza della costa e della vista. E’ un amplia area piatta sui bordi della scogliera che dà un grande senso di libertà e mi ha ricordato moltissimo Cap Barberia a Formentera.
In fondo, guardando verso a sud spicca la nostra cattedrale di roccia, Es Vedrà .
Parcheggiata la macchina, ho preso con me il mio zainetto con il mio succo fresco, e sono partita per l’ esplorazione. Ho seguito la costa in direzione sud ed a un certo punto ho trovato delle strette scaline che scendevano lungo la scogliera, fortunatamente sicure, ben fatte e con la dovuta protezione.
Il paesaggio era già magnifico, ma la sorpresa doveva ancora venire. Finite le scale sono rimasta senza fiato: ecco la grandissima grotta che unisce le due parti di mare e dal cui interno si può vedere l’ isola d’ Espartar.
Non è tutto naturale perche appunto alla sua base sono state costruite delle casette di pescatori, diciamo anche non troppo ecologiche, un pò fatiscenti ma che nell’ insieme rendono il luogo tra il suggestivo.
E’ stata per me veramente una grande sorpresa e mi sono presa del tempo per gustarmi questa mia scoperta.
La fortuna poi che ero protetta dal vento e nonostante fosse dicembre ho potuto prendere il sole in costume.
Per me questi sono i veri lussi di vivere a Ibiza, la vera qualità della vita!!!
