Colors on the Beach

When I see a sunny day my greatest wish is to go straight to the beach and today I had a nice tour in Playa d’ en Bossa and then in Cap Des Falcò .

Many beach club have just opened, but the beaches are still quite empty, even if you feel in the air that the season is about to begin .

Today I really felt like having a touch of color and I chose this beautiful handmade dress by designer Dora Herbst that fits perfectly with my inseparable straw bag that I use on every occasion. The accessories are all handmade: Fig Tree Ibiza necklaces which are really sweet, the colored bracelets of Anatomy of Love Ibiza and the etnic one by Ahh Nells by Sonia.

Are you ready for Ibiza ?? I hope my suggestions of places to visit and stay may be useful for your travel.

See you soon with a new post and have a nice day !!!

I always tell you how much I like Ibiza in the winter time with all those flowers, colours and empty beaches, but the real paradise, loved by everyone and especially italians is the smaller of Islas Pitiusas – Formentera.

It was a beautiful sunny day with 20 degrees and beaches just for us.

Formentera has a copletely different rythm and energy than it’s bigger sister, just as it’s morphology, long and flat, ideal for long bike trips to the dunes or, for those who are well entrained, up tp the lighthouse of Mola or Cap de Barberia.

Today, first time this year, we’ve rented a car in the port and went off for our adventure to take some pictures and to relax.

The first stop was San Francesc where we found a fresh pasta shop called  “Il Pirata del Tortello”, right in front of Eroski and where I bought some delicious focaccia which reminded me flavours of my country.

One can feel like breathing italian air much more here on Formentera than on Ibiza, maybe because of concentration of italian people in such a small space.

The second stop was small port of Es Calo which charmed me with it’s turquoise water so we took some time to enjoy it’s beauty.

Just feeling the hot sun on my skin made me quit my winter outfit, leaving place to summer wear, like this handmade top by Linena Ibiza, with the only wintry touch of my indianini.

Coming to Formentera in low season is the perfect opportunity to enjoy it’s beauty. Really Welcome to Paradise!!

🙂

Really Welcome to Paradise!!

🙂

Welcome to Paradise!

The Secret Cave: Sa Figuera Borda

Today I felt like my energy of explorer came back and I took the car to go in direction of Cala Comta.

I love to take a walk, starting from Sunset Ashram and going north to the old guard tower, of which  I will definitely tell you more soon, with quite pretty pictures , but today it was too windy and at the last moment I decided to go for an other option.

My friends told me about a cave right near Cala Comta so I started searching, which – thanks to my good sense of orientation – has given excellent results.

The site in question is located in the south of the famous beach and you have to take a dirt road on the left before you get to the large parking lot and follow it until you see the sea in front of you .

When you arrive you will be amazed by the beauty of the coast and the view.

It’s a large, flat area on the edges of the cliff which gives a great sense of freedom and reminded me very much Cap Barbary on Formentera .

In the background , looking south, stands our cathedral rock , Es Vedra .

I parked my car, took my backpack with my fresh juice , and went for exploration .

I followed the coast towards the south, and at one point I found the narrow stairs leading down the cliff, fortunately safe, well made and with protection . The landscape was already great, but the surprise was yet to come . At the end of the stairs I was breathless : a huge cave that connects the two bays and thru which you can see the ‘ island of S ‘ Espartar .

It is not entirely natural because precisely at its base were built fishermen’s cabins, not in very ecological way I have to admit, and in spite of few damages this place still has its charm .

It  was really a big surprise for me and I took some time to savor my discovery . I was lucky  being protected from the wind and even if we have december – I could take a sunbath in bikini . These are the true luxuries of living in Ibiza for me, the true quality of life !!!
