My Secret Ibiza

Ibiza is like a treasure chest that you can discover little by little. There are a lot of wonderful places, mostly known by people, but there are also places hidden like precious stones that only few people know. To get there you have to take little paths, trough pine forests and rocks.

Few days ago i have been back in one of the place i like the most, Pou des Lleò. I have already written a post about its beautiful nature and archaeological and Historical importance.

It is located in the north-east part of Ibiza. To get there go to Santa Eulalia and then direction to San Carles. When you arrive to this little village, find Bar Anita, then turn left in direction of Figueral and Pou des Lleò.

When you arrive to the little beach you can park the car and you have two beautiful walks with Tagomago island view.

I will dedicate my next post to this magical island.

Ibiza è uno scrigno prezioso che si scopre pian piano, conserva luoghi meravigliosi in parte conosciuti da tutti, ma altri che ancora restano come pietre preziose per i pochi che si avventurano nei sentieri, tra le pinete e le rocce.

Qualche giorno fa sono tornata in una delle zone che amo di più, Pou des Lleò, del quale ho già parlato in un altro post sia sulla sua bellezza naturalistica che della sua importanza storico- archeologica.

Siamo nella parte nord est dell’ isola, attraversata Santa Eulalia dovete raggiungere San Carles e dopo essere passati per il paese, all’ incrocio con il famoso Bar Anita, andate a sinistra e seguite le indicazioni per Figueral e Pou des Lleò.

Arrivati nella piccola spiaggetta potete parcheggiare la macchina e sia nella parte che va verso nord che quella verso sud ci sono passeggiate molto belle con vista su Tagomago, la seconda isola più grande dopo Sa Conillera.

Sunday walk in Santa Agnes

I spent this sunday discovering new places in Ibiza and you know that i love it. I decided to join the group of “Ibiza walking association“, thanks to the suggestion of my dear friend Barbara, creator and chef of Eat Raw Ibiza.

The meeting point was in the nice little church of Santa Agnes just nearby of the bar Can Cosmi, where i like to go to drink my orange juice and taste their famous spanish “Tortilla”.

Santa Agnes or Santa Ines is one of the most authentic places on the island. You can see beautiful ancient “fincas”, the old ibiza houses, walking through fields full of almond trees, white like snow in january, and feel the parfum of the pines walking in the little paths.

The wind from west was quite strong, but the sun was strong too so it was the perfetc day for our walk.

The view at the top of the hill was amazing: we could see the Bledas Islands, Sa Conillera and the top of Es Vedra. Really Incredible time!

Questa Domenica l’ ho trascorsa all’ insegna della natura e della scoperta di nuovi luoghi. Sono andata insieme alla mia amica Barbara, chef e creatrice di Eat Raw Ibiza alla passeggiata organizzata dall’ associazione Ibiza Walking Association: luogo d’ incontro la piccola chiesa di Santa Agnes nell’ omonimo paesino dell’ entroterra ibizeco, giusto a fianco del Bar Cosmi, dove mi piace andare per bere una spremuta d’ arancia e mangiare la loro famosa Tortilla spagnola.

Santa Agnes o Santa Ines è uno dei luoghi più autentici dell’ isola, in cui si possono ancora vedere antiche finche, attraversare campi pieni di mandorli, che creano uno spettacolo unico alla loro fioritura in gennaio, sentire l’ odoro dei pini percorrendo i piccoli sentieri.

Il vento da ovest soffiava abbastanza forte, ma il sole lo era altrettanto creando il clima perfettto per la nostra passeggiata.

E ne valeva la pena di camminare così tanto perchè la vista nel punto più alto è mozzafiato: si vedevano le isole Bledas, Sa Conillera e addirittura la punta di Es Vedrà. Un vero e proprio incanto!

Scents & Colors

The Ibiza country side in this period of the year is full of color from its beautiful flowers and aromatic herbs. Today i found the thymus that I love for cooking and for making natural infusion. And the lilac flowers are so pretty!

I profumi e i colori di Ibiza. La campagna ibicenca in quesito periodo sprigiona tutti i suoi colori con bellissimi fiori e i profumi delle erbe aromatiche. Oggi ho trovato il Timo che adoro sia per cucinare che per fare infusioni. E poi sono così graziosi i suoi fiori color lilla!

El campo de Ibiza en esta época del año esta lleno de color y aroma de sus flores y plantas aromáticas. How he encontrado el tomillo que me encanta para cocinar y hacerme infusiones naturales. Las florecillas lilas son tan bonitas!
