Sweet Colors Time

Here in Ibiza we love to dress with bright colors all year long. It’ s quite different from the city environment where we have the tendency to dress with darker colors like black, grey and brown.

On a beautiful autumn day like this with the blue sky and the earth which becomes more and more green, full of flowers and herbs, I love to dress up with my favorite colors, pink and lilac .

Today I choose this lilac wool poncho that I found in Hippodromo, the big second hand market, every Saturday in the area of the Hippodrome of Ibiza.

If you have a lot of patience and time, you can really find nice things with amazing prices.

Soon I will make some specific posts on my own ” treasure hunts ” because I really like mix things taken in different places.

The psychedelic leggings by Emilio Pucci gives the italian touch to my look. I found them years ago in Bologna but i think they are perfect for Ibiza.

Ben diverso dall’ ambiente cittadino in cui si ha la tendenza a vestirsi con colori dai toni più scuri, qua ad Ibiza i colori sgargianti sono di moda tutto l’ anno.

In una bella giornata autunnale come questa con il cielo azzurro e la terra che diviene sempre più verde coperta di fiori ed erbe aromatiche, adoro vestirmi con i miei colori preferiti, il rosa e il lilla.

La location è veramente speciale, un’ antica finca, nascosta dalla vegetazione nella campagna ibizenca dove mi piace andare a passeggiare e fare yoga nelle tiepide mattine d’ autunno.

Oggi ho scelto tra le varie cose questo poncho in lana lilla che ho trovato all’ “Hippodromo”, il mercato delle “Pulci”, che ogni sabato viene allestito nell’ area dell’ ippodromo di Ibiza e dove, se avete pazienza, potete trovare cose veramente belle e a dei prezzi sbalorditivi. Presto farò qualche articolo specifico proprio sulle mie “Caccie al Tesoro” perchè mi piace molto abbinare capi presi in diversi contesti.

Il tocco all’ italiana lo danno questi leggings un pò psichedelici di Emilio Pucci trovati anni fa a Bologna e perfetti per Ibiza.:)

Kaftan Elegance in Pou des Lleò

Today i was remembering the beautiful photo shooting done for Vintage Market Ibiza this summer around the island. I could discover places that i haven’t seen before.

In these photos we are near the beach of Pou des LLEO in the north east of the island where during the Punic and Roman periods the Purple, so loved by the nobles, was produced: it was as precious as gold.

Archaeological excavations in 2007 showed the existence of a “factory” for the production of the red- purple color as they found the remains of Murex, the little mollusc which gland produced the color.

So we could also say that since then Ibiza could have had an influence on the fashion of the time. 🙂

I am wearing two vintage kaftans in beautiful colors, for me a timeless elegance perfect for summertime in Ibiza.

Ricordo il bellissimo servizio fotografico fatto per Vintage Market Ibiza quest’estate sull’ isola e che mi ha permesso di scoprire luoghi che ancora non conoscevo.

In queste foto siamo vicino la spiaggia di Pou des Lleò nel nord est dell’ isola dove in periodo punico e romano veniva prodotta la preziosa porpora, colore tanto amato dai nobili romani e che valeva come l’ oro.

Scavi archeologici del 2007 hanno dimostrato appunto l’ esistenza di una “fabbrica” per la produzione del color rosso- viola in quanto son stati trovati resti di Murex, un mollusco dalla cui ghiandola si procurava la colorazione.

Quindi potremmo anche dire che già da allora Ibiza poteva avere avuto influenza sulla moda del Tempo.:)

Beauty Event at Le Vele Ibiza

Yesterday i have been invited, as a Fashion Blogger, to a very nice event at Le Vele Restaurant and Bar in Playa d’ en Bossa.

The event, a Beauty Aperitif, was organized by Monica, the owner, who presented me very interesting people living on the Island all year long. It was really nice sharing our experiences and listen to how people arrive in Ibiza and what they are doing.

These kind of meetings are the best in the calm and out of stress period and it’s the best time to create new relationships and friends.

The Buffet was really amazing, like the italian aperitf i loved in Bologna and Milan and the ambient was friendly and familiar. At first floor it has been created a really Beauty Area with Rossella the nails artist, and Mauro, the hairdresser owner of Pelo Loco Ibiza in Av. de Espanya.

Obviously I was the first asking Mauro to take care of my hair and he made me a very beautiful and romantic hairstyle. Just a bit sorry for my blue turbant i choosed for my night outfit! 🙂

Ieri sono stata invitata come fashion blogger a evento molto carino presso il ristorante Bar Le Vele di Playa d’en Bossa organizzato dalla proprietaria italiana Monica: un Beauty Aperitivo al quale hanno partecipato persone molto interessanti e simpatiche che vivono qua ad Ibiza e con cui è stato bello condividere i propri percorsi.

Direi che questi eventi sono la cosa più bella dell’ autunno e dell’ inverno ibizenco quando si possono creare vere e proprie amicizie dopo la caotica stagione estiva.

Oltre al buffet buonissimo che mi ha fatto ricordare i tanto amati aperitivi all’ Italiana, e all’ ambiente caldo e famigliare, al piano di sopra del locale era stata allestita una vera e propria Beauty Area insieme ad Rossella esperta di bellezza per mani e unghie, e Mauro, proprietario di Pelo Loco di Av de Espanya.

Come potrete ben immaginare non ho perso l’ occasione e mi son fatta fare una bella acconciatura, lasciando da parte il mio turbante color blu notte che avevo scelto per il mio look della serata!
