Winter mood in Grodental

Good morning!

Here I am with my first post of  the year from my beloved Val Gardena. I told you I come to these mountains for over 25 years now and every time I fell in love with their beauty and with the wonderful energy present here.

This Christmas, even though there was not a lot of snow,it was amazing for skiing and thanks to Dolomiti Superski I could ski for kilometers and kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes.

One of my favourite place for having lunch is the restaurant SooChic in Plan de Gralba. It has an exceptional view of the Sassolungo and a very complete gourmet menus, unique in the valley. Ronnie, the owner, will welcome you with professionalism and kindness. I ate the porcini and truffle soup and it was a delight.

I am wearing a vest and sweater by Onax Ibiza and winter indianini boots by Karma of Charme: they are so comfortable and I love them so much!!!

See you soon with another post from the Dolomites.

Many kisses,

Natalia

Buongiorno!

Tanti baci,

Natalia

The Monsters of the Holy Wood of Bomarzo

Hello everybody!

Today I want to bring you to one of the most original place I have ever visited in Italy. I’ve heard a lot about the Holy wood of Bomarzo but I have not had the ocasion to see it till now and this time was the perfect one because I was travelling between Bologna and Rome.

The park of Monsters of Bomarzo was devised by the architect Pirro Ligorio (he completed the Cathedral of Saint Peter in Rome after the death of Michelangelo and built Villa d’Este in Tivoli) on commision of Prince Pier Francesco Orsini (1523-1585), called Vicino, only to vent the heart broken at the death of is wife Giulia Farnese (+1560).

The park is filled with bizarre and fascinating sculptures for which only the accompanying inscriptions provide any explanation. Among the pieces are a war elephant, a monstrous fish-head, a giant tearing another giant in half, and a house built on a tilt to disorient the viewer. Perhaps the most frightening piece in the garden is an enormous head, mouth opened wide in a scream. The accompanying inscription reads “all reason departs.”

Hope you enjoy the pictures and I suggest you to visit it if you go to Italy.

Natalia

Travelling to Bologna

I am back in my beloved city of Bologna for a few days, and I am here to organize two events with my cultural association: one theatre show ” Francesco e i burattini” created by Igor Sibaldi, and a conference about Nutrition and Health with the famous italian doctor Giuseppe Cocca.

My company was made some years ago from the  idea and my desire to communicate everything that could help and promote the welfare physical, mental and spiritual, through events, exhibitions, conferences with researchers and all those who follow one way of Awareness with their diverse and noble arts.

And so it’s going on gradually, year after year , thanks to my partner  Anna Maria Mandelli. 🙂

Arriving at the airport today I didn’t find the usual fog  typical of autumn time in Emilia Romagna, instead I was greeted by a warm sun: a really pleasant surprise.

I love this period with Warm Colors of yellow, red and orange. Leaves start falling down from the trees and i love the scent of the earth too.

The Great Emilian countryside and the hills of Bologna make a magic atmosphere and when i see the Church of St. Luke protecting the city,  it is always a strong feeling of being at home .

🙂
