What a journey, what an energy, how many wonderful things I have seen these days with the Italian crew of “Turisti per Caso” captained by the incredible Syusy Blady!!
Traveling around South Africa was like going back to my roots of a primordial earth. The place called the Cradle of Humankind, a land where you can feel the strength of the Earth where the animals are the messengers. I want to start telling you about this trip with beautiful pictures of the Kruger Park, one of the main attractions of this country: the South African part alone is as big as Switzerland!
From the first moment we entered it was like a meditation that reminded me of my beloved underwater world: the silence, the serenity, waiting for the unexpected, the gaze that gets lost in nature in search of animals. The feeling of being in a place that man must treat with respect and integrity. Normally, you enter the Kruger Park early in the morning as there’s a certain moment where the colours of the Sunrise are most vibrant, and the time is right to spot the animals. Packs of hyenas welcomed us with their mantle kissed by the morning sun. Our guide Alberto from Matimba Lodge told us for the duration of the visit so many interesting anecdotes from his 15 years of experience.
Zebras, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, impalas and antelopes have accompanied our visit, as well as a herd of dozens of elephants bathing gave us an exciting time and the vastness of horizon made us perceive the infinite. We were all delighted and we enjoyed this spectacle of nature: Syusy, Zoe, Virginia, Enrico and I learned a lot of things from the professionals around us and we are preparing many videos that we will publish over the next weeks in our social medias.

Che viaggio, che energia, quante cose meravigliose che ho visto in questi giorni trascorsi con la troupe italiana di “Turisti per Caso” capitanata dall’ incredibile Syusy Blady!!
Viaggiare in Sudafrica è stato come tornare alle proprie origini, una terra primordiale, luogo detto dell’ evoluzione dell’ uomo, una terra un cui si assapora quella forza di cui anche gli animali ne sono i messaggeri.
Voglio iniziare a raccontarti questo viaggio con le bellissime immagini del Kruger Park, una delle attrazioni principali di questo paese: pensa che solo quello sudafricano è grande come la Svizzera!!!
Dal primo istante che siamo entrati è stata una vera e propria meditazione che mi ha ricordato le mie amate immersioni subacquee: il silenzio, la calma, l’ attesa dell’ inaspettato, lo sguardo che si perde fra la natura alla ricerca di animali. Il sentire di essere in un luogo che l’ uomo deve trattare nel rispetto della sua integrità.
Normalmente si entra al Kruger la mattina presto che oltre a essere un momento speciale per vedere i colori dell’ alba è anche un buon momento per avvistare gli animali. Branchi di iene ci hanno dato il benvenuto, con il loro manto baciato dal sole del mattino. La nostra guida Alberto del Matimba Lodge ci ha raccontato per tutta la durata della visita tantissimi aneddoti interessanti dati da suoi 15 anni di esperienze. Zebre, giraffe, ippopotami, bufali, impala, antilopi hanno accompagnato questa nostra visita, un branco di decine e decine di elefanti che facevano il bagno ci ha regalato un momento emozionante e la vastità dell’ orizzonte ci ha fatto percepire l’ infinito.
Eravamo tutti estasiati e tra una ripresa e l’ altra ci siamo veramente goduti questo spettacolo della natura: io, Syusy, Zoe, Virginia ed Enrico, il nostro gruppo che sarà sempre come me in tutti i prossimi post. Ho imparato tantissime cose perché sono tutte persone molto professionali nel loro campo e stiamo preparando molti video che pian piano pubblicheremo sui nostri rispettivi social.
